I like this strategy -- thanks for the posting.

I have tried it (your tourney strategy) three time and have gone from busting out at about the 50% point to getting into the top 15 percent (usually play $1 to $5 tourneys). Thanks Again.

BTW -- congratulation on that win (another thread).

Hello fparker1,

Just a couple of questions.

First, when you say, "...both of your pocket cards must play..."?

What do you mean -- pre-flop, after flop, during end-play? And can the second pocket card be a 'good' kicker?

Second, when you say, "....go all in with AA, KK, AKs...", and later you say, "....with no more than 4x the minimum raise in front of you add AKo AQs, AQo and QQ to all in...." --

Do you mean at pre-flop? (Because if you ...

Hello Undream,

I have only been playing 7CS for a couple of months so I always seem to have questions on the strategy of the play. I very much like your approach to playing very tight.

First Question -- on your "...hidden TT-88 with ONLY an 'Ace' kicker..." will lead the other players to put you on a pair of Aces, in order to reduce the number of players you are up against? -- Is this correct? TIA

Second Question -- I noticed that you avoid the Three (3) Card ...

Here are a couple of notes on my use of Undream's strategy above.

I have tried this strategy for a couple of days with great success.

One place that it is very useful is the Pot Limit $0.25/$0.50 tables at Royal Vegas, because there is no ante. I have stayed away from these tables because of the Pot Limit level of play, but by playing so tight and only having to pay for the Bring-In one can play for an hour, waiting for cards at a cost of somewhere near $2.50 (figuring a full ...

Hello All,

Ashbash, thanks for the posting above. Have a couple of question: First, where is this ebook, I would be interested in buying a copy; and Second, what is an AA tournament?

Have been playing 7CS over at Stars mostly, but am looking around to include more variety.

Thanks.

7CS Tournaments -- Where? 5/25/2005 9:44:50 AM   (Total replies: 1)
Hi All,

I have decided to try playing 7CS Tourneys. The only poker rooms that I have found offering 7CS Tourneys are: Party Poker; Poker Stars; and Paradise.

Are there any others (poker rooms) that are worth looking at?

Where is your favorite place to play?

TIA

Breaking Into Tourneys -- Questions 6/11/2005 3:30:11 PM   (Total replies: 3)
Hello All,

I would like to start playing tourneys, but I really don't know where to start. My NLHM cash table play is okay (meaning -- I make a buck or two -- now and then). And my SNG NLHM play is also okay --- (same meaning as above). Also I have done some reading up on tourney play.

Here are some of my questions:

1. At what (money) level should I play?

2. Tourneys with about how many players enrolled?

3. Suggestions on which Poker ...

Success with the SNG Step or the SNG Rounder Tourneys? 7/3/2005 5:45:36 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Hi All,

Has anyone got any stories about their success playing the SNG Steps at Party Poker or the SNG Rounders at Prima Poker sites? Both tourneys look very interesting. I have tried both, but alas the cards just were not there for me.

TIA

Interest in a Separate Forum for Sit-N-Go's Here at PSO 8/26/2005 3:17:06 PM   (Total replies: 2)
Hi All,

How much interest is there in asking Coach for a separate section for Sit-N-Go info. Having to go though the Tournament section looking for threads about SNG's is okay, but it would be better to just read and write about SNG's.

So if you're interested -- just add a short reply to let Coach know how much interest there is.

TIA

Re: Finishing Fourth in Sit and Go's 10/14/2005 1:37:23 AM   (Total replies: 1)
As the Man said, "...never finish fourth..." -- Tighten up, be a rock. Only play the Top Five Hands. Stay out of betting wars -- run away. Let some very good looking hands go by. And never, ever call a raise. Let the other players knock themselves out.

Best Regards,
