Would you have to deposit anything before they merge for this to come into effect or can you sign up now and deposit later and still get these benefits?

Cheers

I like a fold here.... it's just too often you are crushed by a stronger A

Your line is fine, I really don't see many straights in villains range so I like the river C/C as it gives them a chance to valuetown themselves and sometimes you will see a random bluff.

Defend your blinds more, if you sat on my left I would be raising everything on the button since your tendancy to fold makes it immediately profitable for me to do so.

As you say your 3bet % could be higher, and this can be achieved by 3 betting from the blinds more.

Other than that you look solid :)

Re: Top two on dry flop facing strength 220 bbs deep 11/28/2008 7:57:04 AM   (Total replies: 1)
Awkward spot.... he could be flat out bluffing, semi-bluffing a straight draw or he could have a made hand like A5s/88/55. I think it's pretty weak to fold to this raise though since it is such a dry flop, and I really don't like raising since it will normally only get called by a hand that beats you.

I might call with the intention of leading the turn on a blank, plus he may get spazzy and shove over the top of your turn lead on a bluff/semi-bluff. This way you might get worse hands ...

I like it, as you said the turn is pretty gross OOP so I don't mind the C/C line here. Villain is never putting you on a flush yourself so they may decide to either value-shove a 2p type hand or try and represent the straight/flush to push you off your own marginal made hand.

I think it's pretty difficult to fold against a relative unknown, so I think this line will get you action from weaker hands. If they had the flush then so be it, I really hate to b/f or b/c on the turn since it ...

I think you have to call here.... you have under-represented your hand so villain could definitely be value betting worse.

Any history with villain??

I don't see how you can bet/fold this turn since nothing has changed, villain isn't going to give you credit for a 5 so by double barreling you might fold out a hand like 88/99/TT/AJ but since the 5 is basically a brick I don't see this working too often.

If the villain is floating with air/marginal holding then they are folding if you bet anyway, however if you check then they may check behind, which lets you draw for free, or they will bet which ...
if anyone wants to run simulations of what the ev is if the bb only calls with the top 20%..15%..10% of his hands id be slightly interested.
Surely if the BB is calling an even tighter range then it makes shoving even more profitable?? Also, if the BB is only calling with the top 10% of their range you are still only a ~2:1 dog, and since they will be folding 90% of the time preflop this makes it hugely profitable in the long run.

Re: Line check, induced bluff? 12/15/2008 3:18:38 PM   (Total replies: 0)
Bet the flop and turn, you mentioned you thought he either had a better K or a draw and there are way more draws in his range so bet the turn for value against those draws. Obviously if called you can check behind on the river.
