Re: Low Limit Strategy, Limping with big pairs 3/5/2004 8:26:36 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Parker, I personally don't care how you play. But when you post messages that are clearly wrong, and teaches new players incorrect strategy, i have a problem with that. Find me any source that tells you not to raise with AA, KK, QQ, in any position. AA, KK, QQ are the top 3 hands no matter how many players are in.

Even if you do not get people out, raising increases the pot size, which is the #1 reason to raise and not to drive someone out. Just because QQ goes from 50% winner with ...

BTW, when that one player got beat with QQ limping in and he didn't expect it. That's fine. He loses this time, but in the long run the QQ person will not make his fair share. And the other person will out draw the QQ because she limped in. It's a poor play to limp in with high pockets. Some times if you have been playing a long time, or the poker room has the same players like prima or AP, it's okay to switch up your strategy. Lou Kreiger often writes in his articles how medium level ...

more fishy than party, you can make 5-10 bux an hr on a 1/2 table.

Ash made a killing there.

If you want to be good NL player, i wouldnt read lee jones or lou kreiger.
hellmuth's not a limit player. So his top 10 limit hands are suspect.

If you want to play NL, read hellmuth's NL section, super system, and every sklansky book. Since you will be playing live poker, caro's book of tells will get you started.

I just started playing and im happy making a couple hundred a month, but if you want to be a champion, good luck, you got a ton of work ahead of ...

Re: Amount Wagered Per Day 7/8/2004 1:58:54 PM   (Total replies: 1)
I play ~5k-10k hands a wk. Imagine on average a 1/2 and 2/4 so lets call it 3BB. Assuming i play 30% flop and 2BB per hand (sometimes i fold sometimes i bet out.) That's $6*30 = $180 dollars per 100hands. Therefore i'm betting 9K-20k a wk. Assuming 50 wk (i dont think i play that much), that's 0.5-1Million wagered just by me.

I heard party was making 10k per hr in january. I hate to think what it was making now.

"Sorry, I wasn't trying to represent that. It is a slight dog to a pocket pair but going all-in and getting one caller plus the blinds may make it the correct call. Getting 2 callers is even better. "

AK is one of the worst hands with multiple players. Any pr is a better multiway hand. AK loses it's value faster than any other top 24 hand. It is the best non suited hand, and it is the best heads up. You are losing EV with multiple callers. Pocket pairs lose value slower and suited ...

I'm assuming this is a FR or 2.5 or less buy in strat.

No one is going to call an all with Ax or Kx at 10+1 or higher (online), and if you do find a site, please tell me lol.
