variance
you never have a big enough sample size and always make rash decisions based on inaccurate information.
i said it since no one else around here says stuff like that

interesting way to play the hand..i would have for sure called the river, theres no reason to jam over him, its a sure way to turn your hand into a bluff
i would have check/raised the flop, bet the turn, and shoved the river...however as played he can certainly have boats, Kx's, and weaker flushes...but probably only boats will call a jam when you shove over him on river |

was down ~3k in november, came back and made it +1k! first winning month in a long time..
i'd like to grind a lot this month but have exams and tons of school work, but after the 20th i have 5 weeks off from school, so hopefully this month and next month will be good months..
goals: win 5k this month

congrats
that first hand is pretty weird imo
you like to check/raise turns it looks like, with the TT just bet all three streets and set it up so you can jam river..c/r turn allows him to fold, + he may not always bet the turn and you give him a free card which you dont want
also, don't raise to 4x UTG (looks like you did but i just glanced over it), raise instead to like 2.2x when you're that deep in a tournament, you don't want to commit a ton of your stack in that ... |

I got my money off stars, but I had significantly more on FTP.
Still waiting on that. I was one of those in the boat that stupidly had ~80% of their net worth online.
Fortunately for me, I'm going into my senior year of college and still a "Full time student" - thank you US government for one thing: student loans.
So, I wasn't TRULY affected by it, but it has cut down on the amount of fun I'm allowed to have.
I want to get involved in the smaller poker ... |
