Reasonable play, or am I "Gutshot Weasel?"

For those of you who have the time and generousity to look at this, I'm just getting back into poker, and I want to make sure my play and thought processes aren't too crusty. The villain is this hand was just livid (hence my new nickname, "Gutshot Weasel") (heh!). I think I played this pretty well, so I submit myself to the scrutiny of my betters. If I'm donking, I really want to know!
A little background: 6 max, mostly same folks for past 100 hands, I had been verrrrrrry tight. ... |

Thanks Bobby. You're right, this was a departure from shortstack strategy. But for 6 max, I thought it was reasonable. I went with it largely because I had been sitting on his right for about 200 hands and thought, "Let's roll." The A6o in early position was typical, at least for this session.
Thanks for the warm welcome back, guys. I'm going to go play some poker now.

Thanks for the input, guys.
I've started buying in for the full amount on these tables. I see what you all mean about that play with the short stack, I think. After having played for a few days on these 6-max tables, I'm feeling much more comfortable with my play, plus the variance on 6-max seems to work against any kind of consistent short stack strategy anyway.
As for how I'm getting on, my SnG game is going well. My cash game is going ok (I'm not losing), but I have work ... |

BR is about 550 right now. I'm playing 6's and 10's almost exclusively, but I'm had a good running well so I threw in a 20 to see how the play was. I'm not going to play that high for bankroll building, it was just a lark. Right after I donked at the 20, I went down to 6, finished 2nd, then up to 10 and finished first! Then 4th on a 10.....grrrr.
I usually play some 6's, and if I money a few times, I throw in a 10 or 2. I'm having much better luck than I did about a year ago, ... |

I agree, randomasdan. I just been away for a while and I think I needed a couple of weeks with that "security blanket" feeling of not having a big stack at risk.
I'm over it now!
Thanks again to all for your comments. I really do appreciate the critique.

Interesting stuff. I only play on one site right now, and as I am running hot this month and know it won't last, I've been dinking around with diversification at different levels (i.e. lose a $20 sng while crushing a couple of 50-cent limit tables and winning a bit at $25 nl).
Keep posting. I'm interested to know how it all works out for you.

I was big into homebrewing beer a few years ago (I mean, total brewgeek--to the point of grinding my own barley and maintaining yeast cultures in petri dishes!), so I like trying 'em all.
I'm partial to stouts and highly hopped pale ales. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a fave.
On the harder side, I love Maker's Mark bourbon.
Tukanin, you'd be very amazed at the variety and quality of beers available in the U.S.A. When you come back, look up some of us poker strat ... |
