Eeek.

I actually let my account fill up over vacation and I think I bounced a few e-mails earlier in the week.

My e-mail should be working now.

The break is a good idea. Emotion always comes into play though, no matter how old/mature you are.

We've all had our embarassing moments -- Casie (my wife) losing $2,800 in a day -- me betting $50 a hand at a blackjack table (dont think I've ever told anyone that)...

But at the same time, we all show our devotion to the game at times as well (i started with $20 2 months ago and I'm at $163 after 70 hours of playing - a whopping $2 an hour, yay).

Just remember -- ...

Story of a Live tourney I played June 16 6/17/2008 11:33:13 PM   (Total replies: 2)
Hey all, sitting here folding hands on two 7cs tables so I figured I would write up a poker story if anyone is interested in listening!

So, basically I'm not going to go into too much detail in terms of all the hands I played and whatnot, but, I love reading about how to identify players based on their mannerisms and whatnot, and thought I'd share

I found a bar in the town I live in (Adrian, Michigan) that basically converts into a poker room 4 nights of the week. I guess the ...

3rd Street:

I would have played it the same. Basically, you wait to see what the overcards do. Since the king doesn't do anything, you have to believe your jacks are good on 4th street.

4th street:

Heres an error, in my opinion. You don't want to flat call (XX)45 with (JJ)36. What are you worried about? JJ is a favorite, or a flip, in ALL SITUATIONS but up against (44)45 or (55)45..which isn't likely because another 5 was dead on 3rd. And there is NO ...

Well, I was a regular... I did about $12,000 profit in 2004-2006, and my wife did approx $12,000 profit as well in a shorter amount of time.

The main reason we stopped:

1) Players got better out there. Only so many times you can dump your paycheck and not go buy a book.

2) Bonuses got less and less. For break-even players, bonuses meant you could profit. Bonuses also gave us goals where we forced ourselves to put in the hands.

3) NETELLER closed doors ...

hmm... a 1.56 rolll ;)

My recommendation would be a $1+.25 Sit n go.... NOT turbo. A single table one. That means you've got a 33% chance, assuming you have average skill, of cashing. If you have above average skill, then that chance goes up.

basically its a 1 shot deal and if you miss it you're back to freerolls ;)

Too bad you're not on a site like AP that has 2c / 4c tables!
