Absolute / UB rakeback stats, etc.

For anyone still playing at Absolute or UB/Ultimate Bet, please understand that their rakeback payments have not been made since June. These guys are trying to stay afloat, but they are under serious financial stress after the events of April 15th. If you can get your money off, it is strongly suggested that you move to another site. We have some super rakeback deals for non-USA players at sites you wouldn't normally think you could get rakeback at. Just email me at poker.strategy at gmail dot com and ask.

Hi folks,

Absolute / UB have not updated their stats since 5/5. For anyone not following Black Friday, I suggest getting and staying up to speed here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29/news-views-gossip/

All of our former contacts at Absolute / UB have been laid off. I have one contact in the upper management, but don't know the guy well enough to know if any info he gives is legit or blowing smoke.

We have no idea if USA players (or non-USA players) will get paid their usual rakeback on the 15th. The stats not updating for us, I expected. They don't have anyone working in the affiliate department to update them.

May 1st forward, Absolute / UB had planned to begin paying rakeback without our having to send spreadsheets. I have no idea if that is still on.

If any of you had specials deals or private rakeback offers that we paid via player to player transfer at AP/UB/FTP/Stars, then we need to work out a new payment arrangement. Email me: coach @ poker-strategy.org

I'll email our remaining contact at Absolute now and see if he has any idea what will become of rakeback payments and affiliate stats going forward. I'll update in this thread as I get more info.

Edit - 5/11/11 at 4:27 p.m. - Our contact said that they will NOT be paying USA rakeback. They are looking at doing non-USA rakeback payments, but he is not 100% certain. Stats should be updated by Friday.

Edit - 6/8/11 - From reading TwoPlusTwo, it appears that some rakeback players have been credited now with both April and May rakeback earnings, and in many cases it is both USA and non-USA players. Keep in mind, USA players still have no withdraw options and non-USA player withdrawals are a snails pace. I have emailed them to ask if our players have been included in these rakeback credits. No response yet.

Edit - 6/13/11 - Got in touch with a contact at Absolute / UB.com - They are indeed crediting April rakeback earnings to both USA and non-USA accounts. Granted, USA players still can't do anything with that money, and non-USA player cashouts are agonizingly slow. They are just now working on April. So I'm guessing May won't be in by their old "15th" deadline.

What a shock... not that I'm missing out on anything, but I assume this screws over the affiliates pretty hard. Just another money grab by a company that's in the process of imploding.

Ivey doesnt win money, money wins Ivey.

Correct. They're not paying affiliates either.

They were planning to change, starting May 1st, paying players themselves like Full Tilt does. Up until last March, we still sent them a spreadsheet with player nicknames, amounts owed, etc., just as we have for ~7 years now.

My most trusted contact there said that simply, affiliates will not be paid, at least for April. My 'not so trusted' contact said affiliates would not be paid for USA revenue and they were 'considering' non-USA revenue.

I wish someone would step in, buy them out and as part of the deal, take over responsibility for player accounts, etc. - Probably just dreaming there though.
