| Don't see how it would be. The highest yearly earnings i've ever seen in 2nl is around 6500 and that's playing over 1 milli hands. |

it really depends on what your cost of living is, for me. my monthly expenses are around $700~ because i live very minimally, i dont have cable, i dont have a car, i only spend like $100 a month on food, only about $100 a month on assorted other things, and i have a roommate.
if you have a family and likely have a 2k+ cost of living, forget about it.
you can definitely make $1k a month playing 2 NL, but the amount of tables and hours you would have to play would make it not worth the trouble, i think the lowest limit i would recommend trying to play for a "living" is 10 max.

500 buyins at 2nl, 16-17 per day over 30 days to make $1k. I highly doubt it. Variance alone would probably make that close to impossible. You should do it as a prop bet Bobby. |

| Bobby if you think you can make 1k in a month playing strictly 2nl you should offer a prop bet. I'm sure you would get a lot of action at some sites. |

it would require something like 100+ table hours a day to achieve that, if i had that kind of commitment to poker i would be playing professionally, and i wouldnt be doing it at 2nl.
so doable yes it is, but the amount of effort required for the amount of money you stand to win makes it mostly pointless to even try. |

I could eat well if I was only feeding myself on $100 a month... as long as you actually make every meal / eat leftovers. I don't even see the need to dollar store it except for milk/eggs.
But I also feed the woman... and she likes going out to eat and expensive crap...
And I like to eat a bunch of junk food... cuz I'm a fatty... well not physically, but a fatty at heart
Ramen.
PBJ.
Hot dogs.
Grilled cheese.
Buy chicken on sale, there's always chicken on sale.
Rice.
Pasta.
Make your main diet around that and I don't see how $100 a month sounds absurd. It also helps I know a deli that does killer deals on lunch meats if you buy at least a pound. |

| While we are on the subject of making money at the micros. A poster at 2p2 claimed he could make 2k a month playing play money. That's 2k in real money. No idea if he was honest or not. |

well according to this site i found they pay $6 per 1mil play chips. im actually quite surprised by that, im kinda tempt to try and make a run with play money now lol, not like ya got anything to lose.
so, if that sites rate is the norm then your needing 10 mil play chips a day. i take a quick look at stars and it appears the highest limit is 100/200 NL. i guess its not impossible, but again its one of those things that the only real point is to show off. if you can put in that much volume youll make more money playing even $5 max lol |
