| Unless they have been datamining (which many sites prohibit) or they have bought a database, then they will only have stats on you for the hands where they were at the table. They will not have every hand you have ever played in their database, hope this helps. |

thats why its so important to track all your hands. if you know your stats, and you know that they are tracking you, you have an advantage over them regardless of what your stats are.
i like to assume that anyone who is multitabling is using a tracker, so i take my own stats into consideration more when im playing them, more so than when im playing a single tabler. |

I would not be that worried about people buying data basses as i would be of people using odd calculators, since these things are universal

I'm not so sure that people using software have any real advantage over you, specifically. While some software likes to advertise itself as an advantage, what does it really do?
1) It will tell the player how you have played certain hands and/or positions AT THEIR TABLE, which is such a small sample, it's virtually useless, really.
2) Some software says it can give you your odds calculations, and while that's nifty, it's not an advantage over a poker afficianado at the table. Not really. So you can calculate it to tenth of a percent?
I've used Sharkscope in the past, including their HUD--and likely will again--and all it REALLY told me was what was publicly posted. Basically, their tournament performances. It did help to point out players who might be tilting--i.e., have lost 6 games in a row, for example--but that was easily sussed out after a few times around the table, anyway. It also singled out losing players, based on tournament performance (Sharkscope doesn't include ring games) only, but again, I'm a losing player based on my tournament performance, too! LOL
The REAL advantage a program like poker tracker has is in making YOU more aware of YOUR game, your leaks, etc. Over time, THAT'S how you become a better player, and I suppose that's a permanent advantage.
