wouldnt it suck if you run bad everytime you move up Posted: 12-09-2010 12:15 PM |
ok lets say a good player wins 10 buyins everytime they run good. down 6 buyins every time they run bad.
now lets take 10NL for example. if you move up to 25NL and lose 6 buyins and thats the stoploss you set for yourself. wouldnt it suck if every time you move up you lose the 6 buyins, go back down and win 10 buyins and move up again and lose 6 buyins agian. everything just aligns at the wrong spot that would suck.
you take a look at the win/lose graphs people have, what if all the downswings happened during taking shots at higher limits. and this has nothing to do with playing bad, just bad timings |

| a 6 buyin downswing, while not rare, is fairly uncommon at the low limits. so this shouldnt actually happen to you unless you were playing bad. |

may have jinxed myself here.... I took my shot at 25NL for the second time and just like last time lost 2 buyins right off the bat. fullhouse ran into quads, down over a buyin. and a few more similar scenarios and down another buyin.
okay.. once again moving back down to 10NL again. this time you know what Im just gonna stay there till my roll is at least at $1000
"6BI either way wouldn't make me blink"
now I know why your a bankroll nit. I was playing 25NL with a $400 buyin roll, lose 2 buyins and Im already squirming and feelin like I just lost an arm or a leg. if I keep playing right now at 25NL and lose again I'd be playing on tilt no doubt. if I play with at least $1000 then 2 buyins wouldnt make me blink, 6 buyins wouldnt make me blink.
