Am I missing something here? Should I just keep pounding away even if he wants to 4 bet? |

I dont see what he can have that beats you. You hold a 4 and a 7 was dead earlier in the hand so quads are out, not that you're worried about them.
5c is also dead so straight flushes are out unless he has spade. Again, another hand you're not worried about.
Is this a level? What are you worried about if not? |

I gotcha. Yeah, that's a little strange he starts going bonkers on 6th street. Maybe he has 65 in the hole and hit a straight. That's all that makes sense. |

| I take it there weren't any hands that you were really worried about though right? His outs to quads were dead. The most likely hand I would have put him on to raise for value would have been a straight. |

When someone is pounding like that it makes you wonder if you missed something. I have been on the other side of the coin and have gotten guys with the best hand to slow down by 4 betting them so maybe he just thought he had the best hand. |

Perhaps the two hands going to war here were a little more concealed than in past times where the villian slows down holding the goods.
You only have one pair of tens showing and no likely straights or flushes that you're chasing. He most likely is putting you on two pair or trip tens for giving him that action because all he's showing is a pair of sevens and you both would have the knowledge that a 7 and 4 are already dead with you holding one and a player folding the other prior to 4th street.
Maybe in previous encounters when your opponent eases up your door cards put a few more ways that their hand could be beat. Both of your hands in this case are really well concealed.
Players at this level are so horrible that you gotta keep on the gas. They just don't have the discipline to make lay downs when they think their draws or 2+ plus is good. It's like, I have 2 pair! I got the nuts! |

His real problem is playing 747 to begin with. This hand has trouble written all over it and catching some early cards marries him to it. He didn't respect my opening raise like everyone else did.
You are right, they are terrible at this level. |
