Guys, I'm currently only on Cereus and a Merge site. I'm looking to pick up an additional site in October (yes, I'm planning that far ahead. I like to keep my money movement well planned.) Currently, the two contenders are Stars and "whatever site Coach is running a promo on at the time." Should I even consider anything else?
For those that don't know/remember me, I'm a low-volume player, currently playing primarily low stakes PLO8 tourneys while dabbling in NLHE tourneys and micro 7H/L cash games. |

Depends on if you are in the US or not.
US, options are limited.
Stars is great if you want to get to SuperNova, otherwise, their VIP system sucks. If you want to work with their VIP system, it is best to start in January, because they clock it around an annual thing. Low volume gets you nothing for your promotions. You could run it only for MTT.
If you;re looking at promotion - FTP is comparable to Stars, plus you get other goodies as volume improves. Many h/lo players moved to FTP after the collusion problems on Stars. FTP is comparable tourney wise - plus have a lot more options re SNG's and Rush Tourneys. For the games you play, you obviously know you need traffic, so I would go with FTP. |
