Want 30% rakeback on iPoker? (Non-USA room) - You have until Dec 18th!!

I mentioned this in a post yesterday, but now I have all the details for you:
iPoker is the largest poker network that doesn't accept USA players. They're bigger than Party Poker and they do NOT allow rakeback deals, so this offer represents your shot at getting a legit 30%, completely above board.
Sun Poker is joining the iPoker network in mid-December. All existing Sun Poker players at that time will be given permanent top level VIP status Mercury Level . This level has a cash back award that is equal to 30% rakeback.
If you play any iPoker rooms (Titan, TonyG, VC Poker etc.), this is a no brainer. Sign up a SunPoker rakeback account and after they move to the iPoker network, you'll be a permanent Mercury level VIP. If you generate enough points to make the top Sun Level, that cash back is equivalent to ~45% rakeback.
If you are not on iPoker but like the idea of having 30% rakeback if/when you ever give them a look, then it would be in your best interest to create a Sun Poker account now.
You get all the benefits of Sun Level, permanently. 20k in freerolls each month, $500 monthly reload bonus...

Edit: They have added a new VIP level, called Mercury, and this is the level that you will be automatically set to. It is exactly the same as the old “Sun” level. They did this so that they could move the benefits package for Sun level even higher and give players something more to play for, even if they join with this status. The Sun level now has ~45% rakeback equivalent. |

Would you have to deposit anything before they merge for this to come into effect or can you sign up now and deposit later and still get these benefits?

Is this deal still on? I quite fancy having permanent VIP status, but haven't had time to sort it out with mock/real exams recently. I especially like the sound of this is if you don't have to deposit now and can do so later.
Am I also right in thinking that Sun Poker is one of few rooms that lets you play in a choice of US$, GPB£ or Euros? |

Mat - yes, correct. Automatically permanent Mercury status.
JCH - yes, deal is still on. From my discussions with my affiliate manager we should be able to have players who come through us given the automatic Sun status ever after the move to iPoker, but it's not a guaranteed deal, so best bet is to create your account ASAP through our Sun Poker rakeback page if you want to be sure you get in. ;]
Also, yes, they had multiple currencies on Sun right now. They'll lose some features by merging with iPoker though. If iPoker doesn't support multiple currencies, I don't see SunPoker having them after they finish the move. |

I used the Sun Poker rakeback signup page link you posted (at the bottom of your post) Coach, but when I clicked 'Run' I got a brief message saying "extracting setup files" and then my PC bleeped once at me and didn't progress any further with the installation.
I have had to click 'Save' rather than run, then click 'Run as an administrator' just to get to the grey installation screen. Given *I am* the administrator - it's my laptop and the only user is me - I'm not sure why this is.
Anyway, more to the point, given I've downloaded it via 'Save' rather than 'Run', will this still track me ok?
I really wish I'd got round to this sooner; I should have known a task that sounds simple is something that sounds too good to be true. :-( |

FYI - I've sent your nickname over to our affiliate manager. He said that registration stats have not updated in a few days. Typical glitches and fixes going on as they transfer everything from one poker network to another.

The last communication we had from Sun Poker they estimated the 18th. Haven't heard anything else yet 
If they don't get it done in the next day or two, I'm sure they'll issue an “oh crap..taking longer than we thought”
Let me know if any of you non-USA guys see the change over to iPoker. It'll be an obvious change. The software will be 999999999999x better. |
