Anybody currently in college? Posted: 06-14-2007 03:57 AM |
I'm looking for college poker players -- Reason is simple enough. I'd like to pay you to put up some basic poker content on webspace that your college or university provides for you, free.
If you go to college, even part time, you probably have webspace that you're not taking advantage of. I had one when I was at MTSU, and had some history teaching stuff and lesson plans on there. My web site was something like mtsu.edu/~skf2b
It's free webspace, provided by your college/university and after you graduate (sometimes), they eventually take it down. Some of it gets left up for years though. Here's an example of a college webpage that has been left up long after the student graduated: http://www.contrib.andrew.cmu.edu/~gc00/reviews/poker
I'm looking to put basic poker rules/strategy content on .edu sites similar to that linked above, with backlinks to our site here, and would be very happy to pay you for your time and effort. If you're interested, email me: poker dot strategy at gmail dot com -- Even though most colleges won't let you link to a gambling site like Party Poker, they won't fret if you're linking to a poker informational site like ours.
I'll provide the content. All you gotta do is put it up (and I can help you with that too!) and tell me where you want me to send your money. ;]
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure Augustana doesn't have that either... but we do have facebook, which everyone in our school uses. I could set up a group linking to PSORG...
Would that fit what you're asking, Coach? |

Truly Random
Go see Kirby Winn, he's the head of PR for the school. I used to do graphic design and webpage management for the football team. If you talk to him, or any of the IT people in Olin... you might be able to get your own site. I used to have my resume posted online through the Augie website. There are plenty of people to talk to either in Olin or in the Administration building, Founders hall. I could change just about anything on the Augie website once they gave me permissoin. The web guild at Augie is not a bad idea either. Just be careful initially, and they'll give you access to create your own site.... at least they did for me. |

Heya,
Thanks for the responses. Even if you think your school doesn't allow student webspace, please email me. I'd be happy to dig around and see if their tech dept. allows it, etc.
MySpace, blogs, whatever.. just need backlinks.
I'll be happy to work something out with anyone who will take the time to email me. Just let me know your forum nickname and the webpage, space, site, whatever, that you could do some linking from.
poker dot strategy at gmail dot com --- or you can email me coach at poker-strategy.org
Thanks! |

| Link baiting, good search engine optimization strategy, especially for Google. I have a myspace and facebook account... |
